Our Purpose

The purpose of the Memorial Golf Tournament is to remember friends and loved ones who died far too young, to see friends and business associates, to meet new people, raise money for good causes and have a great afternoon of golf followed by dinner, prizes and fun.

Helen L. Upperton - Canadian National Bobsleigh Team

Great news from the 2008 Memorial Golf Tournament organizing committee!

Golfers at this year’s August 14th event at UBC will have a chance to rub shoulders with Helen Upperton of Canada’s national bobsleigh team, who is one of Canada’s leading Olympic athletes and a top contender for gold at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Jennings Capital has kindly helped to bring Helen Upperton to the tourney where she will spend the day meeting participants, having some fun and speaking to us about her quest to become the first Canadian woman to win Olympic gold in bobsleigh.

Please click here to read the fascinating story of Helen’s career, and you’ll see why we’re excited to have her join us for this year’s Memorial line-up, making it the best ever.
